I would say without a doubt, buy new oil lines! They are cheap. I have a feeling you are the kind of person who likes to see an exact reason for buying something before you go ahead. Very methodical. In this instance, brand new oil lines are something you do not cheap out on. Especially to have the new heat shielding that comes with OEM lines. I do not believe you should be bending or messing around with the OEM shape of the line. Routine oil changes with a quality synthetic oil you should not ever see this issue occur again. To me, I think there was a lack of maintenance issue by the PO, even if you have receipts you never really know how it was driven or what oil was used. "Always Mobil 1" is a very famous line I have seen a hundred times on Craigslist.
